No single activity in war is more important than command and control (C2) and C2 is the most crucial aspect to win a war, so say the defence experts. Muslims, particularly in India, have acknowledged it. They have established a robust centralised C2 regime which can be manifested by following facts.
Three killed in ‘Islamist terrorist’ stabbing in a basilica in Nice in France, cried BBC on 29 Oct 2020. Same day in Bhopal and the next day all over India huge Muslim crowd gathered to cry support for the incident by denouncing the French President. They even got huge posters of Macron, the French President, printed, may be overnight, and pasted them on roads of Mumbai so that people can trample the President with shoe. If response to an incident thousands of miles away can be organized overnight in different cities of India, it must be handy work of a deft and well–oiled C2.
On 2 December 1989, Mufti Mohammad Sayeed became the Home Minister in VP Singh’s government at the Centre. Immediately on 8th Dec, the JKLF militants staged a kidnap of Mufti’s daughter Rubaiya and got five top militants released in exchange for her on 13 Dec which led to an unprecedented euphoria and a sense of victory against India. Mufti was a known sympathiser of extremists and while campaigning for the Congress in the assembly elections of March 1987, he signalled his supporters to vote for the Jamaat-e-Islami dominated Muslim United Front (MUF). Spate of abductions and release of hard core militants continued during his tenure.
What was to happen logically did happen on the night of 19 January 1990, a day called a ‘Holocaust Day’. All hell broke loose in Kashmir. It was a day of massacre and triggered the exodus of the minority Kashmiri Hindus. They were reduced to about 2,000–3,000 Kashmiri Hindus compared to approximately 300,000–600,000 earlier. Such a massive operation could not have been possible without an effective C2 regime. But would any stretch of imagination in us lead us to believe that one day a single command from C2 could see repeat of Kashmir in many parts of India? But then that is what an effective C2 means.
It seems the C2 has been established with an entity at the helms whom I would call Timur, and layer of heads have been designated state wise, district wise, town wise and, may be, mohalla wise. And Timur, the supreme Commander of C2, only has to pass his instruction to his next in line who in turn passes it to his next in line and this is repeated till the end. So within minutes, wish of Timur travels to each and every mohalla and executed instantly. But why name it Timur?
Emir Timur had brought death, destruction and untold grief to a large part of the world. It is estimated that his military campaigns caused the death of some 17 million people, amounting to about 5% of the world population at the time. As a prelude to his Indian campaign of 1398-99, he stated in his book Tuzuk-i-Timuri that about the year 800 A.H. (anno Hegirae), i.e., 1398 A.D., he wanted to lead an expedition against the infidels and to become a Champion of the Faith. He went on to proclaim that, by the will of God, all the three cities of Delhi – Siri, Jahanpanah, and Old Delhi – had been plundered. Timur remains greatest of all the world’s conquerors, never losing a battle in his three decades of warfare.
C2 for them had been in existence for quite some time but now the technology, strategy and doctrine of C2 is reshaping. There was a time when elimination of infidels was the chosen path but now they would choose a democratic path to attain their goal of Ghazwa-e-Hind. What happened in West Bengal election would be a leaf from this doctrine. It was an experiment to test their new hypothesis. Generally, we believed, the Muslim population decides their political preference based on dictates after Friday prayers. Timur asked people to vote for Congress in Assam and TMC in West Bengal. And people truly voted for them disregarding calls after Friday prayers, call by Furfura Sharif Cleric Pirzada Abbas Siddiqui and Asaduddin Owaisi of AIMIM who made a large dent in Bihar. Furfura Sharif in West Bengal is the second most prominent mazar in the country after Ajmer Sharif Dargah. But people chose their holy duty of Gazhwa-e-Hind over call of a holy pilgrimage. The strategy has been cast; UP elections next year would be the final nail in the coffin of Hindu (Modi) regime. We had expected a Muslim Prime Minister in 2039, as per the population growth rate but it seems that we shall welcome a Muslim Prime Minister in 2024, because the hand that rocked the boat of BJP would demand supreme sacrifice by everyone else. Hope there is no repeat of 1989-90 Kashmir!
